Lake Eola Heights

Lake Eola Heights, north of Lake Eola, became a local historic district in 1989 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places three years later. Its roughly 38 blocks of tree-lined brick streets hold about 570 buildings, and citrus grew in the area until the freezes of 1894 and 1895.
